Swimming Lessons Application

Swimming Lesson Applications are only for qualified children between the ages of 2-12, who are non swimmers, To qualify, your child(ren) must be a Palm Beach County resident, receive either Medicaid, Florida Kid Care, Healthy Kids, they are special needs or a foster child or the parents receive food stamps or Section 8 housing. One application per child needs to be filled out. Each application will be reviewed and you will be notified when it has been received and if your child has been approved for a voucher.  If you have an email address please make sure you put that information down on the application. 1. Do you know that the #1 cause of drowning is a lapse in adult supervision and teenagers/adults/seniors swimming alone? *This question is required.
2. Did you know that seniors have the highest drowning rate in Palm Beach County based on population? *This question is required.
3. Do you know not to jump in after someone if they are drowning? Call 911, reach a long object out to them while laying on the ground or throw something that floats (i.e. pool noodle, inner-tube).
  *This question is required.
4. Do you know to always swim in front of a lifeguard at the beach? There are flags at their guard stands that tell you beach conditions. Red (don't swim), Yellow (use caution), Green (ok to swim) & Purple (marine pests present)

5. Do you know if you can't swim it's not too late to learn? All aquatic facilities offer adult swim lessons. *This question is required.
